Mother’s Vile Scheme, Shaved Child’s Head, Raked In Donations

In Pleasant City, Ohio, a shocking and depraved case of child abuse has come to light. Pamela Reed, a 41-year-old mother, has been arrested for faking her 7-year-old daughter’s cancer diagnosis and shaving her head in order to deceive individuals into giving her money.

Police say that Reed raised thousands of dollars by posting heartbreaking photos of her daughter’s supposed treatment online.

The horrifying truth was uncovered by Addey’s elementary school nurse, who noticed discrepancies in Reed’s claims about her daughter’s health.

The nurse, who remains unnamed, was alerted after learning that Addey was not blind in her right eye as Reed had claimed. The school nurse immediately contacted the Noble County Sheriff’s Office, which launched an investigation into the matter.

What they found was truly disturbing. Addey, who was previously thought to have Acute Myeloid Leukemia along with other conditions, was not actually suffering from any of the illnesses that her mother claimed she had.

Records show that Reed had fabricated documents and falsified her daughter’s health conditions, subjecting her to unnecessary medical procedures, including blood tests and the shaving of her head.

Reed’s alleged scheme did not stop at deceiving medical professionals. She also created a public Facebook page called ‘Our “Rae” Of Sunshine- Team Addey Rae’, where she posted false updates and begged for donations to help cover her daughter’s medical costs.

According to investigators, the money raised through this page was not used for Addey’s care, but instead went directly into Reed’s pocket. It was also revealed that Reed had received approximately $8,000 from a local organization, which was meant to aid in Addey’s cancer treatment expenses.

Reed has been charged with theft by deception, a fourth-degree felony, and is currently being held in Noble County Jail on a $50,000 bond. Meanwhile, all of her children, including Addey, have been removed from the home for their safety.

The Noble County Sheriff’s Office has commended the school nurse and detectives involved for their quick actions in uncovering this disturbing case of child abuse.
