Shockingly, Marvel Star Jeremy Renner Is in Critical Condition After Snow Plow Accident

The entertainment world was rocked on Sunday with news that actor and Marvel star Jeremy Renner had been involved in a snow plow accident near his home. Thankfully, Renner’s rep has since confirmed that he is “in critical but stable condition” and is receiving excellent care.

On December 12th, Renner posted about the incredible amounts of snow that his home has received with a Twitter post saying,

The 51-year-old actor is best known for playing the fan-favorite character Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and his performance in the Disney+ series Hawkeye has only further cemented his place in the hearts of fans.

Renner has also been nominated for two Academy Awards for his work in The Hurt Locker (2008) and The Town (2010), and he is currently starring in the Paramount+ series Mayor of Kingstown.

Renner has a home near Mt. Rose-Ski Tahoe, an area that was hit on New Year’s Eve by a winter storm that saw 35,000 homes lose power. The cause of the accident is not yet known, but it is clear that the sudden change in weather conditions caused by the storm was likely a contributing factor.

Renner’s fans and co-stars have already begun sending well wishes for a speedy recovery on social media. The actor is also a proud father to his daughter Ava Berlin, who recently celebrated her ninth birthday. Renner shared a heartfelt tribute to his daughter on Instagram in March, describing the moment she was born as the moment he understood his purpose in life.

Co-Star Hailee Steinfeld in the Disney+ show Hawkeye stated on Twitter,

At this time, there is no word on when Renner is expected to make a full recovery or when he will be able to resume filming on Mayor of Kingstown.
