Jamie Foxx Suffers Serious Medical Emergency

Actor Jamie Foxx was rushed to hospital on Tuesday morning due to a mystery medical emergency. His family released a statement on Wednesday that confirmed he had suffered a ‘medical complication’, but did not reveal what it was. Sources told TMZ that Foxx was now ‘communicating’ again, but few details have been released about the actor’s current condition.

The statement was posted to Foxx’s daughter Corinne’s Instagram account and stated that due to quick action and great care, Foxx is already on his way to recovery. The family asked for privacy during this time.

Foxx had been in Atlanta, Georgia, filming the action-comedy Back In Action, which will feature Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. It has been marketed as Diaz’s return to acting, though sources say she may retire for good after this film due to a number of catastrophes on set, including Foxx’s ‘meltdown’ and the firing of multiple people.

An unexploded WWII-era bomb was also discovered on set in London, just before two major action scenes were set to be filmed. Photos from Monday appear to show Foxx coaching a women’s soccer team, but he and Diaz were seen in the UK last month filming what appeared to be action scenes.

Foxx is the father of two daughters, Corinne and Annalise. Corinne is his daughter with former girlfriend Connie Kline, and Annalise is his daughter with Kristin Grannis.

At the moment, little is known about Foxx’s condition or what led to him being taken to the hospital. It is unclear when he will be able to leave the hospital or get back to filming.
