Douglas Robert and Tamíris Muzini were ready for their big day when there was an unexpected surprise waiting for them.
As the radiant bride arrived at the church, she noticed a wedding crasher mingling with the guests. Little did she expect it to be a stray dog happily greeting her friends and family.
The couple didn’t mind the intrusion, and the ceremony eventually began with the dog sitting down by the doorway to watch as any dutiful guest would.
As the ceremony came to it end, the beautiful couple made for the exit. That’s when the dog suddenly became excited.
“When he greeted us at the end, he asked: ‘Take me home. Take me,’” Muzini stated.
The newly happily married couple decided in that very moment to make their new family fit for three. They adopted the sweet pup and named him Braiá Caramelo. Scars on the pup suggested that his life previous to that day had not been an easy one, but that’s all behind him now.
“He’s so loving. Despite everything he’s been through, he still believes in the goodness of people,” Muzini added. “He gives us hope.”
The addition to their special day impacted them, and the happy trio started an Instagram to share the story. They hope it encourages others to open their hearts to animals in need.

On Instagram, Muzini stated, “Caramelo was invisible to everyone’s eyes until a month ago… we recognized him first and from then on, you all also had the opportunity to see this little being full of light inspiring us with his pure heart. I’m sure there’s a Caramelinho near you, just waiting for a look… Give a chance to a homeless and abandoned animal…”
Despite it being their wedding day and a new relationship, this couple took a chance on an abandoned pup and it was the best decision for not only them, but the sweet wedding crasher as well!
