Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless are hosts of a podcast titled Skip and Shannon: Undisputed. The show is an American sports and entertainment talk show.
However, there was no talking involved in a recent episode when they were in a heated debate over Tom Brady.
Though it is not uncommon for the two to argue and yell, Sharpe may have had enough with Bayless this time as Sharpe took exception to a comparison Bayless made between Sharpe and Brady.
“This man is playing at a high level at 45 when you had to stop at 35,” Bayless yelled.
“That’s what you do,” Sharpe hollered. “Every time I call something into question, I get it … I did what I did! You make it seem like I was a bum! I’m in the effin’ Hall of Fame. I got three Super Bowls!”
Bayless asked what that has to do with anything, and said Brady was way better an NFL player than Sharpe. Sharpe repeatedly accused Bayless of taking personal shots at him while his voice reaches to unheard levels and his glasses are thrown down. Bayless continues to mock him and with an exaggerated eye roll tells Sharpe to put his glasses back on.
“You’re willing to take a personal shot at me, to say he’s better than me because I say he’s playing bad this year?” Sharpe asked.
Bayless told Sharpe that he was disrespecting Brady and that it was “beneath your dignity.”
This was the second time in less than a month that Sharpe has gone off on Bayless in a televised debate. In November, Sharpe, a former Broncos and Ravens tight end got into it with Bayless over Baker Mayfield.
Whether or not this was scripted or acted, it is impressive and ridiculous to see two grown men reach decibels that would rival that of Mariah Carey.
