As the family loaded their vehicle in the River Market parking garage, an assailant allegedly assaulted the father from behind, leaving him with a fractured rib. The attacker then turned his attention to the mother, punching her while she sat in the front seat of the car. Sensing the imminent danger to her loved ones, the courageous pregnant woman retrieved her firearm and fearlessly defended her family. She shot the would-be robber, identified as Markevious King, in the head and neck, effectively neutralizing the threat and preventing any further harm.
While the exact motive of the assailant remains unknown, the family expressed concerns about their safety due to residing in crime-stricken Memphis, Tennessee.
