Brazilian Reality Star Dead At 29

Brazilian reality TV star and social media influencer, Luana Andrade, has passed away at the age of 29, according to an announcement by her boyfriend, Joao Hadad, on Instagram. The cause of her sudden death is attributed to a massive pulmonary embolism, occurring one day after she was admitted to the hospital for what was described as an aesthetic procedure.

 

Luana Andrade, recognized for her participation in the Brazilian reality TV show Power Couple alongside Joao Hadad, reportedly suffered cardiac arrest during the aesthetic procedure, where she was undergoing the removal of body fat from her knee.

The Sao Luiz Hospital, where Andrade was receiving treatment from a private doctor, released a statement explaining that the surgery was halted, and subsequent tests revealed a massive thrombosis. Following this discovery, she was transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) for medical and hemodynamic treatment.

In an emotional Instagram post, Joao Hadad expressed his devastation over the loss, stating, “I am torn apart and living my biggest nightmare. A part of me left.” He reflected on the beautiful story they had built together and declared his eternal love for her.

Luana Andrade rose to fame through her participation in Season 6 of the Brazilian reality TV show Power Couple, where she starred alongside Joao Hadad. Earlier this year, she had announced a new role as a stage assistant for the Brazilian show Domingo Legal. With a substantial following of over 563,000 on Instagram, Andrade had also founded her own clothing brand named Lukand. The news of her untimely death has left fans and followers mourning the loss of the popular social media figure.
