Jordan Driskell, Dad to 5-year-old quintuplets, is facing backlash for putting a leash on his children when out in public.
Driskell, 32, told Today Parents, “Kids are so curious — they want to run off and explore. For our own peace of mind and sanity, we use a leash. It also allows us to leave the house and do fun stuff as a family without being stressed.”
Driskell and his wife Briana, who is 34, stated that they had a 6-seat stroller, but it became too much to haul. The children also want to walk more now. Driskell said, “A leash gives them the opportunity to do that — but we’re still in control. They love it.”
Driskell faced judgemental comments after he shared a video of the quintuplets using the leash on a family trip to the aquarium. Though the video is a year old, it has recently gone viral, having more than three million views.
