Will Ferrell Surprises Audience And Brings Back Old ‘SNL’ Prop At His Son’s First Concert

Comedian and movie star, Will Ferrell gave concert goer’s a surprise visit at his son’s first live concert in San Diego this past weekend.

According to Rolling Stone,

The show marked Magnus’ first public performance with his band, who opened for the Psychedelic Furs at an event benefitting Cancer for College. The charity, founded by Will’s former roommate, Craig Pollard, provides scholarships and educational aid to cancer survivors.

Magnus, an 18-year-old aspiring musician, and his band were joined onstage by his father, Will Ferrell, who played the cowbell in an ode to his popular “Saturday Night Live” sketch.

During the SNL skit, Ferrell fervently played the cowbell in a band and Christopher Walken, who was also in the skit, wanted “more cowbell” from Ferrell’s character.

Magnus and his band played three of his original songs at the concert, including his single “Back in Place,” which featured Ferrell playing the cowbell and dancing to the tune. They also covered “Creep” by Radiohead, per Rolling Stone.

Magnus posted pictures of the night to his Instagram account, captioning it “damn that was fun” which included two pictures of his dad playing the cowbell on stage with him.
