In superhero lore, few things are as thrilling as seeing an old favorite don the suit of a beloved character once more. This is precisely what fans can expect in the new and final trailer for “The Flash,” which premiered at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. The trailer features Michael Keaton, who last played Batman in Tim Burton’s “Batman Returns” in 1992, reprising his role as the iconic superhero.
The trailer opens with Keaton’s Bruce Wayne telling Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen about the pain of losing his parents, saying that it “made me who I am.” He then goes on to talk about how he spent a lifetime trying to right the wrongs of the past as if fighting crime would bring his parents back. Throughout this monologue, glimpses of his Batcave are shown, adding to the excitement.
The new film follows Miller’s titular superhero, The Flash, as he travels back in time to save his own parents, but ultimately ends up breaking the universe. The trailer gives us a taste of the story and some of the returning characters. One of the more galvanizing interludes shows Keaton dressed neck-down in his iconic Batsuit complete with the black and yellow Batman logo, uttering dialog last spoken in 1989’s seminal “Batman” film when he matched wits with Jack Nicholson’s evil and zany Joker: “You wanna get nuts? Let’s get nuts.”
THE FLASH is awesome! One of the very best DC movies, a perfect blend of action, heart & humor! So many WOW & chill-inducing moments that longtime DC fans will love! EZRA MILLER is superb (twice, actually!) & MICHAEL KEATON’s still got it! #TheFLASH #BATMAN #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/mYJrz7YUZG

The trailer also features DC newcomer Sasha Calle, who plays Supergirl, and returning villain General Zod, portrayed by Michael Shannon, who last played the extraterrestrial baddie in 2016’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
Fans have been eagerly anticipating Keaton’s return as Batman, and this trailer only adds to the excitement. “The Flash” premieres in theaters on June 16, and fans are already counting down the days until they can see the Caped Crusader back in action.
