Taylor Swift Drops Bombshell Performance With An Explosive End…

Friday night marked the kick-off of Taylor Swift’s long-awaited Eras Tour in Glendale, Arizona. Swift captivated the audience with a whopping 44-song setlist spanning her career.

The show began with six songs from Lover, followed by three from Fearless, five from Evermore, four from Reputation, “Enchanted” from Speak Now, and four from Red. The Red era concluded with the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single, “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”

Swift then went back to Folklore, performing songs such as “Betty,” “Mirrorball,” “Invisible String,” “Last Great American Dynasty,” “August,” “Illicit Affairs,” “My Tears Ricochet” and “Cardigan.” Before performing “Betty,” Swift explained her decision to create characters for the Grammy-winning album.

The night continued with Swift performing “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space” from 1989 and four selections from Midnights, including “Mastermind” and “Karma.”

Swift’s performance attire also paid homage to her past eras, from a Versace bodysuit and blazer for Lover to a Roberto Cavalli dress for Fearless to an Oscar de la Renta fit with Christian Louboutin boots for Midnights.

At times, the stage included a see-through house with lit-up rooms, an enormous platform, and many, many nods to her album eras.

The tour was originally announced in November but ticketing issues caused Ticketmaster to cancel the general sale. Swift expressed her gratitude to those who made the effort to be at the show.

“I’m gonna take a wild guess and say, that if you’re here tonight, there’s a pretty good chance that you went through a considerable amount of effort to be with us tonight, is that true?” Swift asked her crowd. “Well, first of all, let me say, on behalf of me and every single performer that you see on this stage — all the band, all the crew, every single person who has been putting together this tour for years — thank you from the bottom of our hearts for wanting to be with us on night one.”

The show was a career-spanning event that left fans mesmerized. Swift’s Eras Tour is sure to be the tour of the year.
