Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have confirmed that they will be working together on a new movie project. The movie, which is a biopic of champion wrestler Anthony Robles, will be produced by their production company Artists Equity. Lopez will star in the movie as the lead.
Affleck and Lopez first met in 2002 when they filmed their movie “Gigli.” They got engaged in November of that year, only months after Lopez filed for divorce from her then-husband Cris Judd. The couple ended their relationship in 2004, and both went on to have marriages and children with other people. However, in 2021, they got back together, and the following year they were married.
Their new movie will focus on the life of Anthony Robles, a champion wrestler who was born with one leg. Affleck and Matt Damon’s production company Artists Equity will produce the film, and Lopez will star in it. When asked about the rumors that Lopez would appear in the movie, Affleck jokingly tried to steer the question in a different direction, saying that he could give the name of the actor who would play Robles. When pressed, he finally confirmed that Lopez would be starring in the movie.
Affleck speaks highly of the prospect of working with Lopez and Damon, his longtime best friend. He said, “What fun, what a joy to do something with her, see her be great, go to work with your wife, go to work with your best friend. Because ultimately, like, your work becomes the lion’s share of what defines your life, in terms of the time you spend. And if you don’t like who you’re working with, and if you have difficulty or trouble at work, I think it’s one of the things that can really cause depression, anxiety, and pain for people.”
The movie is set to be released in the near future, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. It’s clear that Affleck and Lopez have a strong bond, and it will be interesting to see how their relationship translates to the big screen.
