Yep, this lonely dolphin might be taking out its frustration on unsuspecting swimmers!
Another expert backed up this theory, suggesting the dolphin’s aggressive behavior might be linked to a certain romantic frustration—one that rhymes with “corny.” In some cases, it seems the dolphin might even be mistaking humans for potential mates, leading to some very unfortunate encounters in the water.
What’s more, some of these attacks have happened when people tried to interact with the dolphin, despite warnings from officials. Signs have now been put up, urging beachgoers to be on the lookout and to keep their distance from any dolphins they might spot.

Orcas have been making headlines too, especially in the Strait of Gibraltar, where they’ve attacked hundreds of boats since 2020.
