Majors, who plays the role of Kang the Conqueror in the upcoming Marvel movie “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,” has been dropped by his talent management group Entertainment 360 and public relations firm The Lede Company over accusations of domestic violence.
According to a report by Deadline, Majors was arrested and charged with domestic violence on March 25 in New York City. Officials reported that the alleged victim had visible minor injuries around her face and neck when the complaint was made. Since then, Entertainment 360 has released Majors as a client, citing his “personal behavior” as the reason for the split. The Lede Company has also bid Majors farewell.
As if losing his management and publicist weren’t bad enough, Majors will also be missing out on a highly-anticipated appearance at the upcoming Met Gala. The actor was supposed to attend as a guest of the fashion house Valentino, but he and the company “mutually agreed” that it would be best if he did not attend.
Majors is set to appear in court on May 8 to address the charges of domestic violence. However, he has already released a statement through his attorney Priya Chaudhry proclaiming his innocence. Chaudhry claimed that there was video footage from the vehicle in which the altercation allegedly occurred, and said that the accuser – an unnamed 30-year-old woman – had provided two written statements declaring herself to be at fault.
It’s important to note that domestic violence is a serious issue and should not be taken lightly. While Majors may be proclaiming his innocence, the allegations against him should not be dismissed. It is up to the legal system to determine the truth and to hold those responsible accountable for their actions.
