Las Vegas, Nevada – Legendary country music singer Shania Twain is ready to return to the bright lights of Las Vegas for her highly anticipated “Come On Over” residency at Planet Hollywood’s Bakkt Theater. Twain, whose legal name is Eilleen Regina, spoke to Fox News Digital on the red carpet of the MusiCares Person of the Year Gala, sharing her excitement and promising fans a high-energy, interactive experience.
“It’s going to be a party,” Twain exclaimed. “A lot of interaction. I really want to get up close and personal with the audience, so you’ll see a lot of that. It’s just all hits. It’s just the hits.”
This will mark Twain’s third residency in the city of Las Vegas, following her previous successful runs at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood’s Zappos Theater. Unfortunately, Twain’s second residency was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but she resumed her shows in December 2021. The “Any Man of Mine” singer had been on her highly acclaimed “Queen of Me” tour from April to November of last year, and is now geared up for her new endeavor in the city of lights. With performances scheduled from May to December 2024, Twain promises fans a night of non-stop hits and an intimate connection with her audience.
This high-profile event also honored the iconic Jon Bon Jovi with performances by Twain, Bruce Springsteen, Melissa Etheridge, Jelly Roll, Damiano David, and Sammy Hagar. During the night, Twain had the opportunity to pay tribute to Bon Jovi by performing a cover of his hit song, “Bed of Roses.”
“I’m so honored,” Twain shared. “This is a man who has written what I consider a really great classic ballad. It’s a song that would be a hit and a classic in any genre.” She continued, “It’s so exciting that me, as a very different kind of artist than he is, that I’m singing this song. I hope I make him proud. I hope he appreciates my take on the song.”
Twain also had kind words to say about Bon Jovi, describing him as a hard worker with strong ethics. She revealed that she had never had the chance to get to know him well, but as she’s gotten to know him more recently, she’s come to appreciate him as a person.
The event also included an auction of Bon Jovi items, with proceeds going to the MusiCares charity that helps music professionals in need. The gala was a star-studded affair, with many of the biggest names in the music industry coming together to honor one of their own.
