Real Housewives Scandal – Are Kyle & Mauricio Calling it Quits?

Reality TV stars Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky, known for their appearances on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” have officially announced their separation after 27 years of marriage. PEOPLE has confirmed the news, with a source close to the couple revealing that they have been living apart for some time but still reside under the same roof. Despite their separation, the source emphasized that Kyle and Mauricio are maintaining an amicable relationship as they navigate their future individually and for the sake of their family.

The journey of Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky began in 1994 when they first met at a nightclub. Following their engagement later that year, the couple tied the knot in January 1996 and went on to welcome three daughters: Alexia, Sophia, and Portia. Over the years, their family became widely recognized through their appearances on Bravo’s reality show, “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” which debuted in 2010.

Throughout their time on the show, Kyle and Mauricio consistently presented their authentic relationship to viewers, often stressing that what they portrayed on-screen was a reflection of their real lives. In interviews, they spoke of their unwavering support for each other, even during turbulent moments involving Kyle’s family, including her well-publicized conflicts with her sister, Kathy Hilton.

In January 2021, the couple celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary, expressing their pride in the accomplishment and their dedication to being role models for their daughters. However, recent events have led to their decision to separate, despite their previous public declarations of happiness and commitment.

Earlier this year, rumors circulated about the state of their marriage when Kyle was photographed without her wedding ring. Mauricio promptly dismissed the speculations, affirming that they were not getting divorced and labeling the rumors as baseless. He further revealed that the forthcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” would address the issue directly.

As of now, no return date has been announced for the show’s thirteenth season, which recently concluded filming. Fans can catch up on the previous twelve seasons of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” by streaming them in their entirety on Peacock.
