In Brinklow, Warks, England, thousands flood to see homeowners decorate their properties with hilarious and creative creations at the annual scarecrow competition.
Residents have been drawing crowds in for the last 4 years with these funny and sometimes outlandish scarecrows that are placed outside their homes.
Over 80 incredible displays have been placed throughout the adorable village.
One display shows ET and Elliot taking off on a bicycle while another has the minions partying it up with their favorite snack of course- bananas.
Others have spider-man hanging from a tree and the Wizzard of Oz cast makes an appearance as well.
Local resident Peter Cox said, “Everybody goes all out to create these wonderful scarecrows, a lot of time and effort goes into it and if I’m honest, people get a bit competitive too. But it’s all part of the fun and it’s lovely to see so many people come from all over to see them in our little village.”
Approximately 3,000 visitors a day are expected to attend the Brinklow Scarecrow Festival. After 3 years of the festival being on hold due to the pandemic, people were ready to get out and have some fun.
“It’s just a good bit of fun and after the last couple of years we’ve had that’s what we can all do with,” Peter continued saying.
Some other displays that can be viewed are, a giant pairs of legs sticking out of a tree, Mr. Bean, Edward Scissorhands, Shrek, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Nightmare before character make up some other funny displays.
Attendees were also treated to RAF flypasts from a Hurricane as well as a rare Lancaster bomber. People were also treated to live bands, stalls of crafts and other goods as well as children’s rides.
