Renner shared Ava with ex Sonni Pacheco, who recently welcomed her second baby girl. Renner’s celebratory message comes just days after he shared an update on his recovery from the accident, posting a video of himself walking on a treadmill.

Renner was severely injured on New Year’s Day after a snow plow ran him over while he was helping a family member get a vehicle out of the snow. He was left in “critical but stable condition” with over 30 broken bones.

In a recent interview with Diane Sawyer, Renner opened up about his near-death experience, saying that he would do it again and that he chose to survive. He also shared audio from the 911 call, with voices saying to him “Keep breathing, man. Keep fighting. Hang in there, brother.”

Renner said that three months out from the traumatic event, he sees himself as “a lucky man.” When asked if he could envision getting back to a place where he can perform his own stunts again, he joked that he has been “refilled with love and titanium.”

“I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I’ve been really refueled and refilled with love and titanium,” Renner joked.

Renner’s interview with Diane Sawyer is set to air on April 6 on ABC.
