Heartbreaking Tribute: Elvis’ Daughter Lisa Marie’s Last Public Appearance Before Her Passing

Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of music icon Elvis Presley and beloved mother of four, passed away on January 12, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving behind a legacy of music, film, and family.

Lisa Marie Presley was born on February 1, 1968, to Elvis and Priscilla Presley. She was their only child and was surrounded by love from her parents. They were thrilled when she was born and Elvis was said to have taken them both in his arms and held them.

She grew up in the famous Graceland estate, which Priscilla has described as “filled with energy and excitement.” Lisa Marie has fond memories of her father and said that “if he was in a good mood, it was going to be a great day.” However, she also remembered his temper and said that it “could give Darth Vader a run for his money.”

Unfortunately, Lisa Marie’s father passed away when she was just nine years old. But Lisa Marie kept his memory alive and always celebrated his legacy. She and her mother Priscilla took part in a handprint ceremony outside of the TCL Chinese Theatre in promotion of the Elvis film starring Austin Butler. They were also joined by Lisa Marie’s children Riley, Finley, and Harper.

Lisa Marie paid tribute to her father on the 25th anniversary of his death, saying “I wanted you to know that I haven’t forgotten. You made me. I love you. You’re still lovely. You were lovely then.”

In June 2022, Lisa Marie, Priscilla, and her children attended a screening of Elvis in Memphis. It was Lisa Marie’s first red carpet appearance since her son Benjamin Keough’s passing in July 2020. Tragically, Benjamin was later laid to rest in the Meditation Garden at Graceland.

In January 2023, Lisa Marie and Priscilla showed their support for Austin Butler at the Golden Globe Awards, where he took home best actor in a motion picture – drama. Lisa Marie’s last public appearance was at that event.

Lisa Marie left behind a loving family and a lasting legacy. Priscilla confirmed her daughter’s passing, saying “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us. She was the most passionate, strong, and loving woman I have ever known. We ask for privacy as we try to deal with this profound loss.”
