Comedian Gabriel Iglesias, widely known as “Fluffy,” expressed gratitude for being alive after a frightening incident involving a private jet. Iglesias, 46, took to social media to share a video of the aftermath, showing the aircraft resting in a muddy field with passengers and crew members making their way toward emergency services.
In an Instagram post, the comedian wrote, “Emergency landing!!! Our private jet skid off the runway and wound up in a field in Andrew’s, N. Carolina. Everyone is ok but shaken up.” He concluded the message by expressing his love for his fans and followers and reiterating his relief at being alive.
The incident occurred as Iglesias was en route to his next performance at Harrah’s Cherokee Event Center in Asheville, North Carolina, as part of his “Don’t Worry, Be Fluffy” tour. The Cherokee County Sheriff’s office confirmed the emergency landing on their Facebook page, stating that local emergency officials responded to reports of an aircraft running off the end of the runway at Western Carolina Regional Airport.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Gulfstream aircraft with the registration N924MB experienced difficulty coming to a stop for reasons yet to be determined. It slid approximately 600 feet off the runway’s end due to heavy rain that had been occurring in the area during the morning. The post assured the public that responders from Valleytown Fire and Rescue reported no injuries.
While Iglesias and the other passengers were unharmed, they were understandably shaken by the incident. Further investigations into the cause of the emergency landing are pending, with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) expected to be involved.
