A Groom, an untimely accident, and a lost tooth…these unfortunate events happened just shortly before the couple, Connor,29, and the bride Adelia Killian,25, were set to say their vows.
Killian arrived on a beautiful island off of Cape Cod. Shortly after, she received a call from her soon-to-be husband from the emergency room. Connor had a biking accident, and he flipped over the handlebars of his bike, cutting his lip and knocking out his tooth.
Connor needed 28 stitches and would not be able to have his tooth fixed before the big day.
Adelia said, “I thought we might have to cancel the wedding. He looked so beat up and his lip was all torn. But he convinced me that we should still go ahead.”
“He had to have stitches in for the day, but we took photos from the side of his face so you couldn’t see them,” Adelia continued.
Despite the accident and disfigurement before his wedding, Connor was a good sport.
Adelia said, “He just laughed and said, Hey honey, I look like Stu from ‘The Hangover.’”
Thankfully, the accident didn’t deter the couple from having their wedding day. “He had to have stitches in for the day, but we took photos from the side of his face so you couldn’t see them,” Adelia said.
Unfortunately, that wasn’t the only issue the couple faced before their wedding vows. The Maid of honor, Evellyn Symons, Adelia’s sister almost missed her flight due. Thankfully after a mad rush, they were able to rebook a last-minute flight.
Arriving just two hours before the ceremony, her sister made it just in time.
Undeterred from the negative events, Adelia had a positive attitude for her big day and said, “wouldn’t change a thing.”
Adelia went on to say, “Connor had a tooth missing and his stitches still in, but it was funny and didn’t ruin the day.”
