Gisele Has Strong Emotional Reaction Discussing Tom Brady

Brazilian supermodel Gisele Bundchen recently sat down with Robin Roberts for an emotional interview where she opened up about her divorce from NFL star Tom Brady.

In a teaser clip from the upcoming special, IMPACT x Nightline: Gisele Bundchen: Climbing the Mountain, the 43-year-old was seen breaking down in tears as she reflected on the end of her more than decade-long marriage to the 46-year-old football star.

The model, who shares two children – Benjamin, 14, and Vivian, 11 – with Brady, confirmed their split in October 2022. While she has since moved on to a new romance with jiu jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente, Bundchen couldn’t help but show her sadness when Roberts asked her about the divorce. It was mentioned that the supermodel had previously likened the split to “the death of a dream,” which led to Bundchen breaking down in response.

In a clip, Roberts also asked Bundchen about her co-parenting relationship with Brady, to which the model responded, “there’s easier days than others, and I can only control what I do.”

When asked if she would be open to finding love again, Bundchen initially hesitated to answer, before saying, “Where my heart is now is where I am right now. I’m living my truth and I’m not apologizing for it.” She later went on to say that her experiences with love have made her realize “what I want and what I don’t want.”

Bundchen recently went public with her new romance with Valente, as they were spotted kissing in public for the first time on Valentine’s Day in Miami. Despite attempts by sources close to the model to downplay the relationship, rumors of them dating have been swirling since November 2022, just weeks after Bundchen and Brady confirmed their divorce. The pair have been spotted on multiple occasions together, including a holiday trip to Costa Rica last year.

During her interview with Roberts, Bundchen did not directly confirm the romance, but did praise Valente and his brothers, who run the Valente Brothers Jiu-Jitsu studio, stating that they have “become great friends.” She went on to say, “It’s so good to have that kind of energy, to have my kids around that type of energy.”

The supermodel is sharing custody of her children with Brady, and an insider claims that the children are still her priority over any romantic relationship. Meanwhile, Brady has moved on with supermodel Irina Shayk, although a source has denied rumors that he is considering marriage again. However, Brady is reportedly focused on his children and work, and anything stating otherwise is “made up,” according to the insider.

The interview with Roberts is set to air on March 7, but a first-look will be shown on ABC’s Good Morning America on Thursday. It is unclear if Bundchen will address any other heartbreak in the interview, as she recently mourned the loss of her mother, Vânia Nonnenmacher, who passed away from cancer on January 28.

A source has told People that Valente has been a “rock” of support for the model during this difficult time. Another source has also claimed that Bundchen and Valente have a lot in common and are perfect for each other.
