Vitale shared the tough news on X, formerly known as Twitter, revealing that a new cancer has been found in one of his lymph nodes and that he will undergo surgery to tackle it.

In a heartfelt post, he expressed his determination to overcome this new challenge. “Certainly not the news I wanted but I plan to do whatever I can control to win this new battle. 🙏🙏🙏 Thanks so much to those that have been in my corner. Means a great deal to me,” Vitale wrote, also sharing his message on Instagram.

This isn’t Vitale’s first brush with cancer. Less than a year ago, he announced he was cancer-free after undergoing radiation treatment for vocal cord cancer. The treatment, while successful, took a toll on his voice, prompting him to focus on recovery. Just when it seemed like he had won the battle, another challenge appeared on the horizon.

Dick Vitale’s journey with cancer has been a rollercoaster. Back in October 2021, he was diagnosed with lymphoma after previously dealing with melanoma.

By August 2022, he had entered remission from lymphoma, a milestone that brought immense relief and joy to his fans and loved ones.

Despite these setbacks, Vitale’s spirit remains unbroken. His resilience and positive attitude shine through his social media posts, where he continues to engage with his fans and express gratitude for their support.

It’s clear that he’s ready to face this new battle head-on, and his determination serves as an inspiration to many.
