Denise Richards ‘Very Grateful To Be Safe’ After She Is Shot At

American actress and former fashion model, Denise Richards and her husband Aaron Phypers are “very grateful to be safe” after they were shot at during a road rage incident in Los Angeles earlier this month.

“I want to give my sincerest thanks to all who have reached out to me and Aaron during this time,” the actress wrote in a post that she shared on social media.

“The love and support from all of you has been overwhelming!! We are so thankful for each and every one of you.”

Richards’ husband- Phypers, 50, was driving his wife, 51, to Popsicle Studio in LA. As they were driving on Nov. 14,  a male driver behind them allegedly became frustrated and began shouting at the couple.

Reportedly, as Phypers let the driver pass, the driver shot at the couple’s truck – striking the back end of the driver’s side.

Thankfully no one was hurt, and Richards appeared “unnerved” when she arrived at her location, according to TMZ.

Friends and Fans alike were quick to show their support with one saying,

“Glad you’re both safe. ♥️ Happy Thanksgiving Denise & Aaron. 🦃,” wrote Billy Baldwin.

Fellow actor John T. McCook said, “So thankful you’re both safe…”

Robert Davi also wrote, “Prayers Dee and Aaron.”

However, there are always those who wish harm on others and have nothing positive to say.

Following the traumatic incident, Richards confronted a rude and threatening troll who wrote in a tweet that has since been deleted saying, “Kinda hope she would have taken a grazing shot to the neck honestly.”

Richards responded by tweeting, “Thank you. I would never wish any harm on anyone. What I experienced yesterday with my husband, not that you care, was the most terrifying situation I have ever been in. I’m sorry a shot didn’t graze my neck…a–hole.”
