Comedian James Corden is briefly banned from NYC restaurant over ‘Abusive’ Behavior

James Corden, an english actor, comedian, singer, and television host was banned from a famous restaurant in SoHo named Balthazar for being one of his restaurant’s “most abusive” customers ever according to the owner.

Now facing backlash for his rude antics, Corden apologized to the owner and his staff apologizing profusely.

Keith McNally, owner of Balthazar, said he was letting ‘The Late Late Show” host to dine in his restaurant again after the comedian apologized.

Stating that he believed “strongly” in second chances, McNally said, “Anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar.”

In an earlier instagram post, McNally described Corden as a “tiny Cretin of a man” and said that he “86’d Corden. It did not make me laugh.”

In the post, McNally gave two examples of Corden’s supposed abusive behavior.

The post referenced a manager’s report – the first dated in June, stating that Corden showed a hair to an apologetic restaurant manager before he demanded,  “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far.” McNally also claimed that Corden hinted that if they weren’t covered for drinks, he would be writing “nasty reviews” online.

In another report from Oct. 9, McNally cited that Corden was upset over his wife’s omelet.

As requested, the kitchen staff made the dish a second time, but  accidentally sent it with home fries instead of a salad, as Corden’s wife had requested.

“That’s when James Corden began yelling like crazy to the server,” the report said, stating that Corden was yelling at the server saying, “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”

The server, extremely apologetic, brought the floor manager to the table and the dish was returned again, McNally said.

“After that, everything was fine,” the account read and continued to state that the manager gave Corden Champagne on the house to “smooth things out.”

The manager went on to say that Corden was “pleasant to him but nasty to the server,” adding that she was “very shaken, but professional that she is, continued to finish her shift.”
