Carrie Underwood Captivates Red Carpet In ‘Cinderella Dress’

The 2022 CMA awards were a big night for Carrie Underwood, 39, and it all started on the red carpet.

She dazzled the crowd with her husband during the red carpet event wearing what has been called the “cinderella dress.”

Despite being teased during the opening monologue over her little “eye incident” Underwood crushed with a performance of her new song, “Hate My Heart.”

The country superstar gave three incredible performances and some fans complained she should have won entertainer of the year.

“Carrie Underwood has sold out concerts all over the country, a Las Vegas residency, new music, and yet she was totally ignored AGAIN!,” wrote one fan on Carrie’s pre-award show post.

“Carrie is always the highlight of the CMA awards! She’s so beautiful inside and out,” a social media commenter wrote.

“She’s the only reason why I watch the award shows,” another added.

“HER VOICE omg she will forever be the voice of country music,” one said.

“She killed it!!! Love her and her music,” a fan wrote.

It was Luke Combs who took home entertainer of the year and “‘Til You Can’t” by Cody Johnson; producer: Trent Willmon; mix engineer: Jack Clarke won single of the year.

Luke Combs also won, the album of the year with Growin’ Up.

Lainey Wilson won female vocalist of the year, and Chris Stapleton won male vocalist of the year.

The CMA awards show also broke a rating record.

From Deadline:

The 2022 award show has grown to 9.7M total viewers across linear and digital platforms, which is up 2.2M from its live+same day audience, according to ABC. The CMA awards built its audience by 16% compared to last year’s 8.4M total viewers in L+7.

Fans responded kindly to a good show with incredible performances and no political nonsense.

And even though she didn’t see many awards this year it was Underwood who stole the show.
