Cannonball! Man Give Bass Pro Shoppers A Memory They Won’t Forget

Bizarre footage has emerged of a 42-year-old man from Alabama who was filmed streaking naked and diving into a fish store’s aquarium on Thursday evening.

Brian Owens allegedly purposefully ran his car into a pole in the Bass Pro Shop parking lot before rushing inside the store, where he then proceeded to perform a “cannonball” dive into the aquarium.

The incident occurred in Leeds, Alabama at approximately 9 pm. According to Leeds Police Chief Paul Irwin, Owens’ family has revealed that he suffers from mental health issues.

Irwin explained that the suspect became agitated after intentionally crashing his car and then rushed into the store to perform his dive.

The footage shows Owens yelling at officers while treading water in the aquarium. The suspect even exited the water briefly to argue with officers before diving back in.

A bystander’s video shows Owens yelling at officers and then suddenly climbing over the side of the aquarium and plummeting to the floor below. The impact of the fall reportedly left Owens unconscious before regaining consciousness and being subdued by officers.

Irwin stated that Owens assaulted one of the officers during the struggle to put handcuffs on him. The suspect also kicked the patrol car, damaging the door frame.

Owens was then taken to the hospital for a mental health evaluation and treatment before being brought to the St. Clair County Jail. He was released the next day on an unspecified bond.

The suspect now faces multiple charges, including public lewdness, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and criminal mischief for hitting the pole and damaging the patrol car. He also faces charges of reckless endangerment for his actions in the store.

Chief Irwin expressed his concern for Owens’ mental state and urged people not to make light of the situation. The investigation is ongoing, and Owens may face additional charges as more information becomes available. A trial date has not been set, and the St Clair County District Attorney’s office has not released a statement at this time.
