Ladies and gentlemen, in a tragic turn of events, the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) has released photos of the suspects believed to be responsible for the murder of “General Hospital” star Johnny Wactor. This heartbreaking incident occurred in May, and the community is still reeling from the loss.
On Sunday, the LAPD shared these photos as part of a community alert, showcasing an allegedly stolen vehicle linked to the suspects. Described as a 2018 black, four-door Infiniti Q50 with a tan interior, this car is believed to have been used by the suspects to flee the scene.
According to Scarlett Wactor, Johnny’s mother, he and a co-worker were asked to stay late at a rooftop bar where he was bartending. In the early hours of May 25, as they returned to their cars, Wactor was confronted by three individuals who were in the process of stealing his car’s catalytic converter.
The LAPD reported that Wactor noticed the trio had his car raised up with a floor jack. Tragically, one of the three shot and killed him.
Anita Joy, a co-worker who was with Wactor in his final moments, took to Instagram to share the harrowing details of that night. “I’ve needed to take some time to collect myself and my thoughts. I was with Johnny in his last moments, and I’m here to be his voice after such unimaginable events,” she wrote.
Joy described how Wactor kept his cool, approached the men peacefully, and tried to de-escalate the situation. Unfortunately, the encounter turned fatal. “He was killed senselessly by a coward who reacted without care of the gorgeous life he was taking,” Joy expressed. She voiced her anger and heartbreak but also her determination to seek justice for Johnny.
Since this tragic incident, friends, family, and co-workers have been calling on Los Angeles officials to take swift action. Wactor, who portrayed Brando Corbin on “General Hospital” from 2020 to 2022, left a lasting impact on his colleagues and fans alike.
The LAPD has released new images of the suspects and is urging anyone with information to come forward. They have stressed the importance of community assistance in solving this case and bringing the perpetrators to justice.
