Suzanne said, “I have written at length in my books on how our stomachs have suffered from chemicals in our food supply and toxins in the environment. The devastating results can lead to gut issues, unwanted weight gain, sluggish energy, and just not feeling our best. Our gut health is critical to overall health! If we want to feel great, look our best, and have optimal health, we must start with a healthy gut.”
Suzanne has managed to retain her natural good looks as you can see when she posed for the cover of the debut issue of Park magazine in October.
The actress shared that she eats only organic and uses fresh herbs like ‘medicine.’
Sommers explained, “It’s as though nature knew we’d be bombarded with free radicals and chemicals coming into our bodies all the time. Bringing these antioxidants into your food helps eliminate free radicals.”
Somers enjoys fresh herbs and spices, like rosemary, thyme, tarragon, mint, turmeric, chives, cayenne, cumin, and cinnamon.
When Sommers was in her fifties, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This scare made her turn to clean eating.
“I have to say that since I embraced health, I have never enjoyed life more,” she shared.
“I like the way I look. I like the way I feel. I like my energy. I have wisdom. I have perspective, and I can tell you that aging can be so incredible if you know how to approach it.”
Sommers continued saying, “Aging is amazing. Aging is something you should aspire to and look forward to and want. It’s about health; about shifting your thinking and understanding what it is that’s making us sick and how we can combat it.”
A New Way to Age: The Most Cutting-Edge Advances in Antiaging, is Somers’ most recent book.
