Dion’s entrance was greeted with a thunderous standing ovation and even fellow nominee Taylor Swift was seen singing along to her hit song “Power of Love.” She then went on to deliver a heartfelt speech, emphasizing the power and joy that music brings to people’s lives.
According to an insider, Dion arrived at the Crypto.com Arena in LA mid-show, accompanied by her designer Law Roach. This surprise appearance marked her first public appearance in more than a year, after revealing her battle with stiff-person syndrome in December 2022.

Stiff-person syndrome is a rare neurological disorder that causes muscle spasms and can affect the vocal cords and other muscles. In an Instagram video, Dion shared that she has been struggling with health problems for some time and has been working hard with her sports medicine therapist to regain her strength and ability to perform again.
Dion’s health battle led her to step back from the public eye, but she remained connected to her three sons: René-Charles, 23, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 13, whom she shares with her late husband René Angelil. However, in a rare family outing in October 2023, Dion and her children were spotted cheering on the Montreal Canadiens at a hockey game.
In an interview with Canadian magazine 7 Jours in December 2023, Dion’s sister Claudette provided an update on the singer’s condition.
