7-Year-Old Is A Hero! Springs Into Action After Seeing Lifeless Body At The Bottom Of The Pool

Massiah Browne, A 7-year-old from Sacramento was the unexpected hero of a 3-year-old toddler who would have certainly drowned without help.

Browne went down to enjoy the pool at the apartment complex where he lives when he noticed something out of the ordinary.

Massiah who is a second-grade student, told “Good Morning America, “I was just playing in the pool and then I saw a boy at the bottom of the pool and I went to go get him.”

GoodNewsNetwork stated,

Swimming down into 6 feet of water, he grabbed the arm of a 3-year-old toddler whose eyes and mouth were open, and managed to pull him to the surface, where a relative of Massiah’s, 9-year-old Savannah, helped them both out onto solid ground.

Thankfully adults who noticed what was happening called 911 and raced to the aid of Massiah. According to ABC, the child was able to breathe again by the time Fire and Rescue arrived due to the heroic actions of Massiah and a relative who performed CPR on the child.

A spokesperson for Sacramento Fire Department  said, “The child was transported in critical condition with advanced life support efforts provided by Sacramento firefighters,”

Marcus, Massiah’s father, who is an Olympic boxer, represented the United States at the 2012 Olympics in London. Marcus said his son loves the water and swims like “a fish,”. Massiah’s father went on to say,  “He’s super empathetic so for him to do something like that, I mean, it’s really nothing out of the norm it’s just crazy that he’s 7-years-old and he’s doing something like that.”

Thankfully the 3-year-old boy made a full recovery.  If it weren’t for the observations and quick actions of this brave 7-year-old, this story may have not turned out as well.  Massiah is now a real-life superhero like the ones he loves!
