A young boy was playing on his front lawn with his dog, a German Shepard named Tank, when all of the sudden, a dog from a house nearby, charged at the boy.
The six-year-old was playing on the lawn of his Florida home when a neighbor’s dog escaped from a house nearby and bolted toward the boy.
Tank, a one-year-old German Shepherd, knew that his boy was in danger and quickly ran to protect his best friend from being attacked.
The dog’s natural instinct took over as he jumped to push the boy out of the way of the charging dog and then stood over the little boy before attacking the other dog.
The shocking yet touching clip has gone viral. In the video, you can see the scared little boy running toward his mother as the neighbor rushed in to try and control his dog and break up the scuffle.
The German Shepherd even looked back to make sure the child was safe!! ❤️

The little boy’s father posted the video on social media to show what a “good boy” Tank is and how grateful they are to their dog.

The father also shared that their second dog, a Pitbull, also ran to the rescue as back-up, but that “Tank had it under control.”
The father said, “Our son was fine and the other dog was taken back home by his owner.”
The boys’ mother, emotional over the event, posted under the name lovehenesy94, and said, “Our neighbor’s dog randomly charged at my son last night and my Tanky saved him from getting mauled or worse..”
The couple and their son have Tank to be grateful too as the little boy’s life could have been in danger. A man’s best friend saves the day again.
